I am going into the city with my dad and were going to see a show but need some insight from my fellow broawayworlders, since its a fri night.
Should we do ave q lotto or general rush pal joey?
Which is a better chance for the cancellation line south pacific or billy elliot?
Then we always have tkts.
Thanks for the help. I would love to see in the heights with him beecause kevin reminds me of him of by working hard for everything and he always wants best for his daughter.

Personally I would avoid Pal Joey at all costs. Just...ew. (MHO of course.)
Can't help with the cancellation line. Sorry.
Why are you not trying ITH if you want to see that? I'm confused.

AVENUE Q is really hard to win, especially on a Friday night, because they only draw six winners. You have a chance of winning, but a small chance. It's usually at TKTS, though.
PAL JOEY is probably your safest bet of the shows you mentioned. I haven't seen it, but based on what I've heard here, it's not particularly worth it. If you lose Q, you could probably run over to JOEY and snag a couple rush tickets. At least that way you'd see something.
I've heard that people have had good luck with the SOUTH PACIFIC cancellation line, but I haven't tried it myself, and it would probably be more difficult on a Friday night. Same with Billy Elliot. Neither is likely to be on TKTS.
Hope that helped!

Posted: 2/13/09 at 2:03pmI bought tickets for me and my dad for ITH and didn't tell him. He LOVED it. And he's the kind of person who's wanting to see things like Phantom. His response to ITH's performance on the Tonys was lackluster. But his exact words at intermission were "I would never have bought tickets for this on my own. But I am so glad you did! Everyone should see it." :)
