I received this comment about the interview? What do you think? Is he right Feel free to leave a comment after this comment on DCTS.

I am keeping an open mind on Spider-Man. I saw it in December (after having my ticket moved about three times due to postponements).

The first act is mostly entertaining (despite the annoying geek chorus), but the second act was a disaster. I believe that the second act could be fixed and much improved if they would make create and resolve some action-oriented conflict instead of making it a psychological turning piont dependent on the new character of Arachne. The more they have strayed from the rich history of the Spider-man story, the worse it gets.

I do want to stress that the cast is both talented and hard-working, including Patrick Page. If they can just resolve the mistakes that the original creative team made, this musical could be turned around. I just don’t know if they have the time and commitment to make the large-scale changes that Act Two needs. Merely cutting one scene isn’t going to do it.
