Suggestions for Bonus Features on GYPSY DVD

Not sure if this was discussed before or if anyone who might have any influence over this (hopefully) eventual DVD release reads these things but I would really hope they take advantage of the DVD/Blu-Ray format. I would love to get a audio/video commentary with Patti, Laura & Boyd as well as a separate track with Sondheim & Laurents discussing the evolution of not only this production but the musical, itself. Also a remastered version of the Gypsy Rose Lee show with Merman discussing the show would be fantastic to finally have and maybe even a montage of clips from the show throughout the years with footage existing from Lansbury, Daly, Peters, etc. This is considered one of, if not THE best musical ever written so I truly hope it's given a special treatment when released.

There HAS to be a backstage tour. If possible, even a documentary of the show.

Interviews with people who have been Lupwned?

A commentary and backstage tours and interviews w/ the cast would be nice.
But has this even been confirmed yet? The warning on telecharge still doesn’t convince me.

PiraguaGuy, I know there are multiple threads about people wanting this filmed but I started this in the hope that someone who might be working on this project would see it or it would be passed on to them to maybe plant an idea or two in their heads as to what they could do with the disc.

I figured it couldn't hurt and if anyone has ever listened to the commentary on Sunday in the Park, you'll probably agree how fascinating it would be to have the same kind of discussion about this show recorded.

I don't mind this thread specifically, I just thought it was funny how many posts a day were "RECORD GYPSY" or "PETITION TO RECORD GYPSY".

I think it should get recorded too.

Audition 101 with Patti LuPone. A two second segment in which Patti runs up to the camera and screams "I don't audition!" Seriously though, there are a lot of funny bonus features they could include, but if it does get filmed I'd imagine the bonus features would be pretty minimal.

I'm sure all involved would love to fill the DVD with your suggestions, as long as you are willing to cough up the dough for it. Do you have any idea how much extras cost?

I'm keeping possitive. I'm still holding out for a TY broadcast and DVD release.
As for features:
- Commentary by Sondheim, Laurents and LuPone or individual
interviews wit each
- A little documentary on the show, perhaps?

this week it's been one day i think positive, next day negative. there's always new things that pop up :[ im negative right now due to the notice being taken down. can we just ask if like 3 of us from this message board get a video camera and all film from different angles? that would be cheaper!
