Summer Musicals

[My Fair Lady]

I'm going to be in one of these musicals this summer....can someone help me with all of them? I'm a mezzo-soprano/soprano (although not all that high) with a pretty good low range. I look like a character type because I'm very short and my face doesn't exactly scream "romantic lead." And I cant' dance, an I sing better than I act. The shows are:
Bells Are Ringing
Once Upon a Mattress
The King and I
Camelot
Anything Goes
The Apple Tree
Pippin

Would I fit parts in any of these shows? And what song could I use for any of them?

Sounds like a Usdan summer....you could be the minstral in Once Upon A Mattress....its odd that theyre doing it again, as they just did it like 5 years ago. last time i was there, they still had the poster hanging up.. oh, they did anything goes the year before that (a rep production)

I know, but Once Upon a Mattress was done by Junior Chorus and Anything Goes was done by Rep 6 years ago, so we can do both.

If you can belt high you should do anything goes. But hmmmm... you can't dance or act? maybe don't do anything goes, there's tap and you have to be funny to steal that show. I think you should definately do Pippin. My high school did it a few years before i came and the girls with the biggest part didn't really dance that much and the acting is suppose to be mediocre, because the show really is just about Pippin whos a guy. so I'd suggest Pippin.

The problem is, I can't choose the show. I should hope I'm in Pippin. And it's not really that I cant' act. I'm just a better singer.

Oh, well I'd do Pippin if I were you. But it wouldnt be as fun as a chorus member as it would if you were the queen or the two girls.

Well, hopefully I'll be in Michelle's show, but I don't know the directors yet. Unless Michelle directs Anything Goes, because I can't dance. As long as I'm not with Bob, I'm happy.

I'm going to make this clear: the camp chooses what musical I'm in. I want to be prepared for all of them, so I want help with characters and auditions for all of the shows.
