Posted: 6/5/08 at 10:38amHey I just got an email from my theatre that if you're late to sweeney todd u can't get in for 30 minutes, not that i intend to be late but I was curious why they won't let u in for 30 minutes

Posted: 6/5/08 at 10:40amIn Doyle's production, the first applause break doesn't happen until after "Johanna." Without applause breaks, there's no appropriate time to seat latecomers, and so if you're late, they won't seat you until about forty minutes into the performance.

Posted: 6/5/08 at 11:07amFrankly I wish every show did this. Nothing worse than 20-30 people trooping in across the first act of a show.
