Sweeney Todd Touring!!!

I know that the tour has been announced a while ago, but I *don't* think that any more information was announced. I might've missed it, as I bet this has been posted before, but Sweeney Todd is apparently coming to St. Petersburg in Spring 2008

Mahaffey Theater? That sucks. It should be at TBPAC's big theater.

ehhh it's a very intimate version. I think that was the biggest problem on Broadway. It was great but I know people who saw it in London and it was apparantly much scarier in a smaller venue. It's probably a smart move.

Thank the stars its going into the Mahaffey. The huge cavern of TBPAC would swallow this chamber show whole. I'm afraid to see Spelling Bee at TBPAC in the spring, for fear that will happen. It's just too big. I'll actually be quite curious to see what TBPAC brings in next year on the Bway series since their presenter contract went to Mahaffey.
