I don't know how many people actually care but the Sweet Charity tour website has been updated and it actually mentions Paige Davis now in the cast section and all her stops have stars next to them.

EDIT: They now have a small picture of Paige Davis as Charity on the site.

I found the rewards to be such a waste. Why would you use bids on normal household appliances and stuff like that? It was better when they were Sweet Charity-themed prizes.

Do they still not sell merchandise at the show?
I believe they sell merchandise at the show - leftover stuff probably from the Broadway show.
The Sweet Charity Broadway website had a rewards program similar to the tour website, except you could exchange points for tickets to the shows, shirts, keychains, etc. I got a Sweet Charity shirt (they happened to send me two by accident).
Now the rewards program has crap electronics and kitchen appliances that you can get at any store without going through the trouble of obtaining points and buying them at not-so-cheap prices.
The website is still not really updated because the rest of the cast has some errors. Francesca Harper is Helene and Jessica Leigh Brown is Ursula, not Kisha Howard and Angel Reda respectively.

I just got back from Sweet Charity here in Baltimore. They sold no merchandise at the show.
Also I just want to tell Paige Davis to break a leg. She has to better than Molly Ringwald. Regrettably, that's three hours of my life that I will never get back.
The rewards were AWESOME on Broadway, I won free ticekts!

It's too bad such a disappointing production is still touring and making more and more peopel think Sweet Charity is a bad show
speak for yourself. I like the show more now because of this tour.

I wish I could see Paige as Charity. She looks so much better than Molly and she actually has REAL theatre background. I really hope I get an u/s when I see it on the 28th.

Let me clarify my position.
I saw Sweet Charity on Broadway with Christina Applegate, and absolutely loved it.
I don't think Sweet Charity is a bad show. I don't even think the current tour's supporting cast is bad. The rest of the cast however cannot overcome the glaring shortcomings of it's current star. Molly Ringwald is absolutely horrible as Charity, which ruins the whole production in my opinion.

it looks so bubble gum/pre-teen/bopper/Nicktoons to me..
The original Bob Fosse production was so simplistic, minimal, and black and sexy, and seductive..
What happened?
I love the fresh take of Charity. She becomes this niave girl who has made all of the wrong choices in her life. Instead of a vulgar taxi dancer no one could care for.

Paige looks fantastic! I love the pictures so far of her.

Cats I *was* speaking for myself :) This is just one production, like WSS or CHorus Line (or dare I say Cats?) that I think really really needs to be in its original production--Fosse built the show from the ground up and havign seen Wayne Cilento basically just do a lesser/watered down Rich Man';s Frug, etc just makes it seem that much more pointless
Anything has to be better then Molly...
*The original Bob Fosse production was so simplistic, minimal, and black and sexy, and seductive*
Um, you're describing the Broadway revival of CHICAGO, which has no resemblance to Bob Fosse's 1975 original which was NOT: simplistic, minimal and black. Sexy and seductive...yes.
Bob Fosse's shows used lots of color, INCLUDING his original 1966 Broadway production of SWEET CHARITY.
Yes, Bob Fosse loved the color black -- FOR HIS PERSONAL WARDROBE, but it wasn't the running color theme in his shows. Gwen Verdon's original simple black slip/dress in the original production was simply used the same way the red one was for the 2005 revival -- keep Charity in that basic dress throughout the show and just add a sweater, coat, accessory to alter it.
Ever since that damn 1996 concert-style revival of CHICAGO opened on Broadway, this new generation of theatre-goers assume that all of Bob Fosse's work was minimalistic, costumeless, and stark black & white.
Oy!

I don't like how they had Charity in a red dress with the rest of the set done in reds and pinks. She didn't stand out at all.

Is there any possibility of this tour being extended past August? I want to see Paige, but currently none of her stops are coming anywhere near me.

I almost cried when I heard Paige was doing the show. And nowhere near close enough for me to see. I would love to see it.
And she looks great in those pictures!
Well, I'm officially happy - thanks a heap for these pictures!

WOw I'm coming off as a grump--i know Paige has Broadway experience but does no one else find her completely *obnoxious*? *hides*
Brody good point on the black--though Cy Coleman talks about Charity being a really stylized and "open" set with just hints of trees or other scenery and how no one talked abotu how groundbreakign that was at the time
Molly's last stop on the tour is Nashville, which is the one tour stop I'm close to. I would love to see Paige in the role. I actually saw her as Anita in "West Side Story" when she was at The Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville, KY wayyyyyyyyyy back in 1986. I think Paige will be great in this role.
