Hi..you might remember that I posted here last week about Natalie Loftin, the Oklahoma City University musical theater student that was one of the three finalists on radio's "Open House Party" Be The Next Radio Star Contest.
A big thanks to all those Broadwayworld.com supporters who checked out Natalie's song and voted for her cause.... SHE WON !!
She won $50,000, a recording contract including an album with Sony, and a management contract with William Morris.
She hits the NY recoding studios next week and unfortuntely won't be coming back to OCU this fall (she would have been great in "Secret Garden"!). But here's hoping that Natalie can prove to the music industry that musical theater performers can sing and sell records just as well as the Britanys and Christinas of the radio world.
Thanks again to all you Broadwayworld.com'ers for your help. And watch for her!
