I just got a ticket for the opening night of this show (Thursday 9/30). Never have gone to an opening before. What can I expect? How should I dress? It calls for a start time of 6:45, why? Thanks for any advice on a Broadway opening.

Let us know if the audience loved it so much they immediately went back to the box office and bought tickets for future performances!

Usually Opening Nights are dressy. You're required to be at the theatre at 6:45 but it's safe to bet that the show won't start until 7:30 or so.
I'll be there.

Posted: 9/29/10 at 8:57pmWhy are you required to be there so early? The weather is going to be very nasty tomorrow night. I probably wear black slacks with a dressy top. What are theater goers saying about this show? It's a long one 2 1/2 hours with one intermission.

Posted: 9/30/10 at 9:06amI saw this show on Saturday and I loved it. I thought it was extremely engaging, and very well acted. There isn't much of a set, but it allows you to focus on the incredible paintings. I wish the show the best and hope it does well!
