I'm going to see the tour in April when it's in Pittsburgh, but I just have two questions (for those who have seen the tour).
1. Does the tour use the scrim that was used on Broadway (the screen with the "squiggles" on it)?
2. Since "Pop!" has been cut and Julia is already engaged to Glen from the start, has there been any lyric changes to "Someday" in order for it to make sense (since she's engaged already). And when Robbie is left at the altar, does the bedroom set come on and "Somebody Kill Me" just take place then, since "Pop!" is gone?
Thanks in advance!
yes they have the squiggles scrim.
no lyric changes, a few line changes that glen wont set the date ,
wow... I had no idea they were doing this!! I am now mildly pissed!! Even though I probably will end up seeing it anyways
Thanks, harris. Does the scrim play "pong" and that like it did on Broadway?
at the start of act 2 yes
What's "pong"?
Does anyone know how well the tour has been selling in the cities it has played so far? I saw the tour this afternoon in St. Petersburg (the show is in excellent shape!) and there were MAYBE 200 people in the audience. Very sad considering it was playing a 1,800 seat house. Just wondering what the sales have been like in other cities.
Well...it played in Ft. Lauderdale in early October and no one even knew it was in town. It came and went without any buzz. I don't even think anyone on this board from South Florida even posted anything on the tour when it was here.

BrodyFosse- I posted a short review and I'm pretty sure Muscle did also.
SweetQ....how full was the theatre when you saw it?

I was in the 3rd row orchestra (thanks to 20$ student ticket!)
There were several seats in my row that were empty and several single seats in the orchestra. I'd say the mezz was about half full.
