Has anyone seen it? I'd love to hear what people thought.

Word on ATC is that it's Nicky Silver's attempt at writing something Pinteresque, but it's too realistic to find the dimensions of Pinter.

I see it on 9/14.

This was an engaging melodrama about a really REALLY twisted family. It even has some NYC references in it - such as 11th Avenue and the NYC subway system. Very well acted and the audience was quite enthusiastic with applause - I overheard many people saying just how much they enjoyed watching it (even though it was a VERY crazy family). I still remember the NYC subway scene and the 19 year old's lollipop . Definitely recommended.

Just got a call (@ 5:30pm, for an 8pm curtain) canceling tickets for tonight's performance of THREE CHANGES, "due to the inability of an actor to perform, tonight's performance has been cancelled." Just an fyi for anyone else who might have tix for tonight.

Hope it's nothing serious!!

Playwrights Horizons doesn't use understudies, so if an actor is too ill to perform, the performance has to be cancelled. That is probably why tonight's performance isn't happening. Hopefully, all will be well soon. I'm planning to go next week.

"You travel alone because other people are only there to remind you how much that hook hurts that we all bit down on. Wait for that one day we can bite free and get back out there in space where we belong, sail back over water, over skies, into space, the hook finally out of our mouths and we wander back out there in space spawning to other planets never to return hurrah to earth and we'll look back and can't even see these lives here anymore. Only the taste of blood to remind us we ever existed. The earth is small. We're gone. We're dead. We're safe." -John Guare, Landscape of the Body

Any other thoughts on this play?

I almost agree with the Pinter comment, but I have to say that I found the play to be excellent. Terrific acting, and the play itself is very solid. I highly recommend it to everyone.

I thought it was quite solid with good acting (which surprised me given the cast).

Seeing it a week from Sunday.

It was just extended a week or two - Dylan McDermott will not be part of it. Tim Hopper will replace him.
