TKTS Sunday 11/26 for the matinee

My son and I went to the TKTS booth yesterday--we hadn't been there since it's been moved over near the Mariott. We got there around 12:15 and only had to wait on line for a few minutes, so that was great. But I couldn't believe the "mosh pit" scenario near the ticket windows! It was much less organized than the way it was handled in Duffy Square. Is it always this bad? Once we were allowed near the windows, it was pretty much a "free for all", with everyone crowding and jostling to get up to a window and buy tickets. Fortunately, people were pretty good and attempted to keep to some sort of line at each window, but it was controlled chaos at best.
On the plus side, we got very good orchestra seats for "Rent" and my son loved the show (I'd seen it before, but am always happy to see it again!)

Yeah, I noticed it to but I was ok with it....I got through the line faster

When I walked by last Wednesday around 3:00pm the line went through the tunnel and back again. Later around 5:00pm there was virtualy no line at all, after I had already bought balcony tickets at the box office for Grey Gardens.

i agree - i have done the TKTS line a few times since its move to the marriott and yes, the windows are VERY chaotic. it also feels like it moves a little slower than when it was in the square (i can't wait til it moves back there!), but nonetheless i was able to get the tickets i wanted. but i do think the chaos at the windows is a little much...

I had never had a problem with the mosh pit scene. I, personally, thought it moved very fast. Much faster than where it used to be.

It is kind of chaotic but I've always gotten to the windows in a fraction of the time I did when the booth was at Duffy Square.
