TKTS questions...

1. If I'm going tomorrow (Friday) and want to wait on line for seats, what time should I get there? When dothey start selling?

2. I know there was something going around about TKTS employees pocketing cash...how much change should I be receiving?

3. Do you think I'd be able to at least get two seats together for Chitty, All Shook Up, or Hairspray?

The Times Square location opens at 3pm for 8pm performances.
The Lower Manhattan location opens at 11am.

Question 1

Believe they start selling @ 3 PM For some reason, I cannot remember Friday night as ever being really crowded. The sooner you get there the better the seats will be

Question 2

The prices are clearly marked. Half the face price of the ticket plus what the TKTS fee is

Question 3

All Shook Up & Chitty should not pose a problem. Not sure about Hairspray

If you can find it, go to the downtown location. There's barely a line.

If you're a student, go to the theatre and do rush for Chitty...its $26.50 and my friend and I got pretty good seats.

I think TKTS charges $3 per ticket.

I think I'll stop at Chitty first to see if I can get rush seats - I'm not sure what time they go on sale though and they might be sold by the time I can get there

Blah - does anyone know Chitty's CURRENT rush policy? It seems as though it's changed a million times!

For rush policies, Playbill updated the rush/lottery section July 16 (of course, it's already out of date, but you could call the theater...)
