So...awhile back i ordered tickets on ticket master for RENT. over the past few months i somehow thought they were for a friday when in fact they were a saturday..
the same saturday-i just bought tickets for xanadu on stage for the sat night my rent tickets are... do u think telecharge will switch my xanadu to the matine if the seats are available?
or am i SOL?

They were kind enough to exchange seats for me...but that was only minutes after I made the mistake.
It can never hurt to try and find out....lots of luck.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I just sent them a email should i call tomm morning?
there hours would probly be 9-5 im guessing. and its telecharge i would call not the theatre i supose.

I just called and talked to a very nice new yorker who hooked this bitch up lol.
i bought matine tickets then he refunded my night ones. thanks all for your help!

Rule of thumb about Tele-charge: if the tix are a box office hold or have not been printed and mailed, it is comparatively easy to to an exchange. It involves hitting a few computer buttons and can be done over the phone.
Only when Tele-charge/The Shubert Org/the theatre does not have the tickets does a change become a real problem. They cannot do anything unless the tix are returned to them and they have them in hand.
Always call Customer Service and get the rules straight.

Posted: 7/8/08 at 10:14amanother option if something like this ever comes up, and especially if you live in the area, is just to past-date the tickets. If the show isn't sold out, you can go to the box office the day of the performance you'd like to see, and most of the time, they can honor it. For shows like Rent and Xanadu, you shouldn't have a problem.
