I think I will take a nap now so I can stay up and watch this.
Paul is the guest host.

Does anyone know if he is going to perform? I would *love* to see that.

I doubt it...but that would be wonderful!
Harvey isn't on yet, but the show just started!

Watching. He lost 45 pounds to do Tevye. WTG, Harvey!
He sang, he sang! (and I'm sorry, but it could be because my expectations were so low but...) I have renewed faith in Harvey!! Yea!!
impressive.

He sounded wonderful singing that little bit of Rich Man. Pat seemed so uncomfortable when Harvey mentioned that Pat was openly gay. I LOVED IT. I was getting sick of the jokes throughout the show, though...everything referred to Harvey being gay.
Good interview...they actually talked about Broadway on national television!

Shaffer...he was the guest host.
Do you mean Paul? If so, I believe he is married with kids, not that doesn't mean he isn't gay.

BT11, I know you're relatively newly out and everything (remember how MAD you got at me when I assumed you were gay because of your beloved Wizard of Oz collectibles?!) but really, "every joke on the show" was not about Harvey being gay. And the jokes that were, were funny. Also, obviously, Harvey gave it right back to Paul.
What Paul said was, "You're proudly openly gay and have been for a long time, which I think is fabulous."
Harvey said, "As are you!"
And Paul chuckled and said, "As am I! Well, I DID write the all-time gay dance anthem, 'It's Raining Men.' So we're brothers." He then took Harvey's hand.
Harvey then said that at the very least the gay community owed Paul a dance.
It was what we hope will happen in our best case scenarios.

Actually, I am closeted bisexual, FindingNamo.
Yes, the first couple of jokes referring to Harvey were funny...but when we were in the last interview...they were getting on my nerves.
Yes, Paul...some guy named Pat Shaffer graduated from my school last year.
