Is there any chance that the lease will revert and it will be a Broadway house again? Or has the church purchased the space now?

If the Gods of the theatre smile on us-- a theatre will buy it back from the church.
The Hellinger is the most beautiful theatre on Broadway.

For now.. the church owns it...alas.

I have nothing against churches, but I would love to see The Hellinger do 8 performances a week, instead of 1 on a Sunday morning.

The front of the house seems to be in pretty good condition, so it might not take much to become active again.

How about a compromise. Put a Jesus Christ Superstar revival in the theatre and still let the church use it Sunday mornings.
