Michele Pawk is one of the most talented and underrated Broadway performers today. Performance after performance-whether the show is good or not-she continues to shine.
Ms. Pawk won the 2003 Tony Award for Best Featured Actress in a Play for her bravura turn as Louise in Carol Burnett and Carrie Hamolton's touching play HOLLYWOOD ARMS. It was much deserved.
She played Nellie to perfection in Chicago and DC in Stephen Sondheim's BOUNCE. If this show ever makes it to Broadway, she must be in the cast!
She has also appeared on Broadway in SEUSSICAL, CABARET, and THE TRIUMPH OF LOVE. She was also the recorded Woman's Voice for the play DEMOCRACY, which starred her husband, John Dossett.
Pawk and Dossett did a wonderful "Send in the Clowns" together at WALL-TO-WALL-SONDHEIM.
Off-Broadway, Pawk replaced Carolee Carmello in JOHN AND JEN, and appeared in AFTER THE FAIR and as Gussie in the 1994 York Theatre revival of MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. She will soon star opposite Ron Rifkin and John Glover in THE PARIS LETTER.
Is there nothing this tried and true Gypsy cannot do?

well i'm sure she'd feel more loved to have her name spelled with two Ls
the one L spelling feels SOOO shorted for some reason....

She'll have to take that up with her parents.

Don't forget about her as Irene in CRAZY FOR YOU!
I LOVED her in Cabaret!!!!!! I thought it was neat that her and Denis O'hare were both in Cabaret and won Tony's in the featured actress/actor in a play. Denis, like Miche"l"e, spells his name with one "n"......oh so many parallels!!!!!!

I miss her bright red hair though..... I almost smacked her for that one.
