I was watching the movie and my mom told me she thought it would make a very good play on Broadway, anyone else have an opinion?

It couldn't be any worse than the movie, I suppose.

The idea of a love song written for that show scares me.

I told my mom it would be hard to turn it into a play.

Play or Musical? I say no to both.

I think "Riding On The Bus With My Other Sister Just Like Normal People" would make a better Musical. It could star Rosie O'Donnell, Juliette Lewis, Linda Purl as mentally disabled sisters all fighting over Shaun Cassidy!

PEACE.

Idina was on the soundtrack, but funnily enough her song wasn't in the movie...I find that odd... And making jokes out of idina fans is so last year...move on people!....by the way....loved the movie and as a play I could see it work VERY well...With the right actors...but as for a musical GOD NO!!!!

How can they see with sequins in their eyes?

Kerry Butler's "reinvention" of Audrey in LITTLE SHOP reminded me so much of Juliette Lewis's character in THE OTHER SISTER.

I didn't think it was a great movie, in fact I didn't think it was even a good movie. What I do think it was was well acted. I thought the acting was very well done, but just working with pretty dull, uninspired writing. Shame, because it was a promising idea. I do love the "cliffhanger-moments" in the wedding scene.

(P.S. I hope I'm thinking of the same movie as everyone else)

omg Sueleen have you seen there's clips of that movie on the unauthorized streaming video site that's banned from these boards. hahaha

i personally have never seen RIDING ON THE BUS but the clips i saw on that site made me split my side with your comment.

personally, i think they need to just let The Other Sister stay a movie.

why is it that mentally challenged people in movies always have really bad haircuts? i.e. j lewis in the other sister and rosie in 'riding the bus with my really annoying sister who i wish was under the bus'? i've been in contact with many such challenged people in my life and they've always been color coordinated with good cuts...it's only in movies where they just come off as WACKY. the other sister, the musical? it has kathleen marshall written ALL OVER IT!
