Alright, so here it is--- the ultimate story of Hunter Foster. And me.
But I am warning you--- its VERY LONG AND EXTREMELY DETAILED.
This is taken directly from my blog. I posted it on Broadway world for all of you to see.
This story begins as any ordinary day in last summer (2005). I was bored, and I was on the computer, as usual. I went to broadway.com.
Now, Hunter had been in The Producers before, a year or two before that. I was extremely excited when I heard it on Sirius Satellite radio that Hunter was Leo Bloom, and no matter how much I pleaded my mom said no. She thought the show was too inappropriate.
A few months later Hunter was in Modern Orthodox, with John Cariani (the coolest guy named John Cariani.... ever). Lol. I was excited and I got to go see it because they are so awesome in my mind. And I went outside for autographs and I think that Hunter got the jist that I was a big fan. That doesn't even cover it.
OK enuff with the tangents and on with the story.
So here I am on Broadway.com in August and I click on "Ask a Star" and JUST before the page changes, a picture of Hunter comes up, and it says "Let The Producers heal your Summer Blues!". I only THOUGHT it was Hunter and I didn't exactly know if it was REALLY him, so I got a bit excited and went back to the page, and there was Hunter. I immediately told my mom. My mom didn't sound surprised really, but she said "Wow that's cool" and other stuff that Mom's would say about their daughters' obsessions. :)
As soon as school started, my mom said I could go see a show, but I'd have to choose. First I thought of Rent, but then, Hunter came in my mind. Sorry Rentheads, but Hunter is more of a love to me (he was the one that got me obsessed with B'way-- but that's another story) than Rent. So I told her The Producers. My mom said she'd try to order the tickets.
So my birthday comes two weeks later and my mom tells me that we're seeing Hunter on October 12 (Hugh Jackman's birthday, this would also be a week after seeing The Odd Couple with my friend Holly). She actually had bought the tickets in August. She knew before I found out!
So here I am, all excited and stuff, telling all my friends (some were getting annoyed. Lol) and being excited. Yes, I was listening to the Producers cd about once every day and listening to other Hunter Foster stuff.
Oh, and we were beginning a new project in art--make a cd cover for a show/band/mix. I was doing one for Son of A Witch, the sequel to Wicked. I made it a musical. It was pretty good lookin :)
So, here's October 12th. We go to the city, I have some fun with my mom in Hard Rock, looking at Beatles stuff and buying moi some other things.... yay! And we arrive at the St. James theatre at 7 30. I am EXTREMELY excited now. I'm jumping out of my skin.
At every show the have this thing that is... I actually don't know what it's called. But eitherway it has the cast on it, or it says The Role of (insert character here) usually played by (insert actors name... this part is sometimes not there) at Tonight's performance will be played by (insert other not-as-important actor's name here... JK LOL). So, Hunter played Leo Bloom. I couldn't find the damn sign ANYWHERE. Turns out it was in the Box Office. But, we didn't go in there so I didn't see it.
As I buy the same shirt he has... hehe... I go over to the usher with my mom and we ask her where the stage door is. She tells us where it is and asks us who we're waiting for. I say Hunter, and her eyes just widen. She said Oh my God, He's sick! I'm so sorry!
At that very moment, time stopped. Not really, but I thought I'd say that to entertain you.
So now, I am almost hysterical crying. I am being absolutely serious when I say this. I don't get hysterical. I usually say "oh well" and go on. But this was Hunter. Wasn't gonna happen.
But, I tried to lighten up. Gary Beach was still in it, and he was awesome according to people. But this other usher, the manager, had heard, well, actually my mom told her, but anyway she said we could try to get an exchange. I totally approved. Hopefully he'd be in. And the Box Office and the Ushers of St.James theatre SOOO rule. If someone you like is EVER out, they will so take care of it.
So we got tickets for November 1st. I was so happy.
I go back to school and tell everyone what happened, and an idea pops into my head.
That art project... I could make a tribute to him... and give it to him!!!!
So, I get all of the songs from all the shows that he'd been in (including Producers stuff. Of course there wasn't gonna be an actual CD). I made a design and stuff, and it was so awesome!! It had Audrey II on it!!! IT WAS SO AWESOME! I even wrote the songs in the shape of a pretzel (Pretzels are German. It's from Springtime for Hitler. The girls wear it on there heads, according to posters outside of the theatre).
Now here comes Nov. 1st. Once again we're outside of the St. James theatre. We go in, and the usher remembers us. Why? Don't ask. So she says that Hunter is in, and they had told him everything that happened and he said to tell him when we came back. I was like OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG. lol. I am so excited now with all of the stuff I have for him to sign.
And oh, did I mention that the cd had a picture of both of us from Modern Orthodox?
Now that the show is over, we walk outside. There's some old ladies, and then me. Gary Beach came out first. He is so awesome I LOVE YOU TOO GARY n-e-way I am getting anxious and excited, and here comes HUNTER!!! OMG I was squealing, jumping, and other stuff. So he and my mom are talking and these old women try to get in but he says he has to take care of me first. I love you so much for that Hunter I never get put first lol so I think I scared him.
I was like I made you a CD in art!!!!! Lol. He was so.. surprised. He signed so much stuff it wasn't even funny, and I said he and I have the same shirt (I was wearing it). He looked at my mom. It was so funny. I love you Hunter! lol
So he's a little freaked I think. When I met his sister Sutton I told the story she said he was just shocked, not scared really. Like that surprised kind of shock. When she saw that my shirt said Foster, she asked if that was my last name. I said no. I think that she might have thought that Hunter was a little bit scared. Then she kinda cut the conversation short and said "well, it was nice to meet you."
So, do you think he should get a restraining order? lol

That's the longest story-that-could-have-been-short that I've ever read. Glad you got to meet both Fosters, though. They're my favorite Broadway siblings. :)
