In some of the regional/tour, sometimes the box offices will let me upgrade my tickets if the show is not sold out. I'm wonder if Broadway box offices will let me do the same. In particular the Addams Family. I plan to buy the $50 and upgrade, if possible, to the $90 seats right before the show if they have any. I know I will pay the difference but I wanna know if it's possible. Right now I just can afford the more expensive seats.

^As far as I know, no such policy exists on Broadwa. You CAN buy a $50 ticket and then move to a different seat (which was unoccupied in Act One), or just stay in your $50 seat. They're actually rather good in this theatre: nothing is obstructed. Also, you could just buy the $90 seats to begin with.
I've moved up several times. Here's what you do: if there appear to be open blocks of seats, politely ask an usher if he or she can check with the house manager to see if it's OK for you to move into the empty seats. I like the box seats, and they're often unused, so I've had a lot of success.
