to the 8th Floor of The Film Center.
630 9th Avenue
Suite 808
NY, NY 10036
This is their last full week before they start the move at the beginning of July. They re-open after July 18th.
They aren't having any clearance sales, but every framed poster on the wall is 50% off.

What sad news. I LOVE that place and they have the perfect location - right in the middle of everything without being literally right in the middle of everything.
I will definitely make a trip down there to bid farewell to their present location.
I wonder if now they will actually sell me the huge FOLLIES thing off the wall, as they have always refused in the past...

Munk, that is the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread.
"Who can I call that can pick up and store the Follies thing for me?"

Posted: 6/23/06 at 6:17pmWaitress - they didn't really say anything to me about by appointment only. On their "we're moving" card it says "See you there after July 18."

Why? Do the posters have other things to do?
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

Literally right behind the Al Hirshfeld Theatre. If you're on 45th, by Junior's in Shubert Alley, you can see the big sign that says "FILM" in the distance.

HERE IS THE FULL LOWDOWN ON TRITON as per the owner. ENOUGH RUMORS. THIS SHOULD ANSWER ALL QUESTIONS.
Dear Long Time Patron,
Yes we are moving to 630 Ninth ave suite 808. The location is between 44th & 45th Street only a short block away. We will have regular hours of 10am to 6pm six days a week closed on sunday.
You will not need an appointment to come up but will have to sign in in the lobby.
We will be closed for moving from July 3rd until the 18th of July.
I hope this does not deter you from visiting us at our new location.
Regards,
Bill

I *just* got back from there. They have tons of show posters each for $1.00 plus lots of show postcards/notecards on sale. I also picked up a beautiful original "Bette Midler at the Palace" poster from her 1st Broadway concert back in 1973. YAY!
