Hey Everyone

I was wondering if there is any type of stage door for Twelfth Night at the Delacorte? With such an amazing cast like this one, I'd love to try to catch the actors after the show.

Thanks for any responses in advance

Yup, it's behind Gate 1. Just go over that way after the show, and there will be people from The Public staff to direct you to where to wait.

I met a friend on Tuesady night after the show and she "stage doored." No, not crazy at all; SITP doesn't draw the crowds Broadway shows do.

That said, the only "name" actors I noticed leave through Gate 1 were David Pittu, Jay O. Sanders, Audra McDonald (arm in arm with Will Swenson) and Anne Hathaway. Hathaway was the only one who I noticed initiated autographs; the rest had to be stopped. Politely.

It's pretty orderly, because they have someone directing traffic; you're not allowed to block the paths leading to and from the theater, so they show everyone where to stand, and you pretty much have to stay in one place. The night I saw the show, there was a HUGE (rather unruly) high school group, but even still, it wasn't all that crazy, because the staff keeps everyone pretty much in check. They read you a whole riot act about how to approach performers in addition to having to remain on the grass, and tell you about twenty six times that you shouldn't take photos or autographs without asking (how one takes an autograph without asking, I don't really know...), which I found a little bit unnecessary, but it is what it is. And the good thing about it being so systematic is that even if there are a lot of people, it isn't mass chaos.

Yeah, most people you have to stop. I was *so* glad someone stopped Hamish Linklater because I had absolutely no clue how to say the mans name.

I felt like a total fool, but I had to ask him. "Hay-mish". *swoons*

Yes, they definitely allow pictures, they just ask that you have your cameras ready and (of course) ask permission before taking them.
