Is there a way to get the balcony boxes for West Side Story online? Or would I have to go to the box office?

I was also wondering how the view is from City Center's rear mezz. I was thinking about buying the 25 dollar seats to see The Wiz, but I'm not sure.

I'm not sure about the West Side Story question, but I'd go with front gallery before rear mezz at City Center. or, if you can get the front row of the rear gallery, those are good seats. I personally feel like the rear mezz is like sitting in a cave.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

If I remember correctly the boxes were used for extra orchestra...but it was March I saw the show and don't remember well.

CS....all box seats (if they even sell them, and I don't know for sure for WSS) are only sold at the box office. I'm assuming since the view is so terrible.

I understand for Hair they are the rush/lotto seats.

In all my years of seeing shows, I have NEVER been in the boxes.

Box seats are (almost?) always sold exclusively at the box office. Depending on the show and the theater, the obstruction may range from minimal to annoying. I've sat in boxes many times (though not in the Palace), and I've almost always enjoyed it. Generally, sitting as far back in the box is better, then get your chair as close to the rail as you can.
