Sorry about the caps but this was urgent. I got tickets for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels at the Auditorium theater and I have to know.... are the box seats good? because I haver a feeling I got really REALLY bad seating arrangment. PLEASE help me out. Thanks.
Depends on the theatre.
Usually they are slightly obstructed, but for a show like DRS, most action takes place in the center of the stage, so you'll be fine.
They're not that bad, but they don't face the stage. They're perpendicular to the stage. You can see the box seats in this picture:

I was at the Auditorium on Saturday and I looked up and said to myself, "Why would you ever want to sit in the box seats, unless drinks are served?"

To pretend you are Raoul.
Love that picture.
so do you guys think i made a major mistake?

that depends on how you define "major"
I was just there tonight for Piazza and I think that if you're in a box that is far enough back you'll be ok but the closer you are to the stage the less you're going to see because of the angle. The stage is also very small compared to the rest of the proscenium so that might be another hindrance to you.
It's a beautiful theatre, though. Huge, but beautiful.
If you have a chatty eight year old with you, boxes are great for keeping her away from the rest of the audience. :3
I'm sure you'll be able to move to better seats during intermission because it isn't that crowded (at least when I went).
better than the balcony... i think they should be ok...
Best not to take an 8 year old
