2 of my favorites that haven't been mentioned:
"By the Sword" - Civil War
I can't think of the name but it's from Scarlett Pimpernell. The song they sing during the scene where the man is beheaded.

Some that come to my mind...
Run, Freedom, Run
Written in the Stars
What You Own
Everyone's a Little Bit Racist
Popular
King of Broadway or I Wanna Be a Producer
I'd suggest something from Lion King, but the newer songs wouldn't be good on this CD...

I made my Mom a Broadway Cd a while back and she love it...I guess my tip would be to try to find out what type of songs the person likes...My Mom likes upbeat hummable music so I put on songs like:
Tap Your Troubles Away from Mack and Mabel
Folies Bergeres from Nine
Luck Be a Lady from Guys and Dolls
If'n from Happy Hunting
Together from Gypsy
Blow, Gabriel, Blow from Anything Goes
Our Favorite Son from Will Rogers Follies

Posted: 12/9/04 at 7:39pmI second Jesus Christ Superstar and shows like Taboo that has more of a pop sound to it. That might get them interstested and then you can give them others.
