I haven't seen either show yet..

but I feel like they gave away the entire show with the 110 video, lol. It was like step by step what's going to happen.

I've only watched the 110 one so far, but let me just say that it is BREATHTAKING! If this video doesn't convince musical theatre lovers to go see this show, I don't know what will!

Gotta love Donna Murphy's tears during "Surabaya Johnny." And may I say, I just love her costume during the boat scene. Thanks for that great LOVEMUSIK video...
I also think they gave away the 110 IN THE SHADE end but it's a revival after all.

I'm LOVING the LoveMusik video. Donna is a goddess.

I really hoped to see a clip of Pirate Jenny, but eh, I'm not picky. "Surabaya Johnny" clip was great, too. Is it just me or does she have that uncanny birdlike quality in her performance that Lenya had in her younger years?

From what people have told me, you hear an instrumental bit of "Pirate Jenny" at the end, but she never sings it on stage.
I think if they do a cast recording, Murphy should just record it as a bonus for the hell of it--her "Pirate Jenny" is quite brilliant judging from her performance at the Public benefit.

I adore 110 In The Shade as well!! Seen it twice. Have tickets for 2 more times, and plan to go even more. :)

Hehe. I'm glad we've found a common ground.

I found 110 to be absolutely enchanting, and this video not only shows off Audra's mind-blowing acting (watch those tears slowly build up in her eyes), but it shows off the singing and dancing chops of the whole cast. I'm very excited about seeing this show at least two more times! I wish it a long and healthy run with many more extensions. Broadway needs a solid production of an old-fashioned show like this right now. And I wouldn't replace anyone in this cast for the world.
