I've read it... what do you need help with? PM me if you want
does anyone think they should make the book or a book rather more like the musical...i was a bit enthralled when i found out the changes--having read the book after seeing the musical..i think that someone should take the initiative to do it bcz it was good the way the musical was...don't get me wrong i loved the book and the sex scenes were hott...lol but i want something like the musical as well.
I do personally wish the musical was a bit more like the book. Especially regarding Boq's personality, in the book to the musical. He was much more interesting in the book, quite the little perv too.
Although I do like the mega character-twists in the musical, that weren't in the book.
I really..highly disliked the book... it really tured me off to the show.. thats partially why I never saw the show
the book was great. thats probably why i didnt like the bway show as much

I actually really liked the book, even if I have yet to finish it and I got it like, last June, maybe? It gets a little boring in parts, but I like it. Hehe.

I loved the book and while i was reading it thought it would make a great musical. I actually thought sondheim would have been a great author of it keeping it dark and political... The changes were interesting but i really missed all the dark political twists of the book

Can I just say, I love the book. And, picturing Norbert Leo Buts with the marks Fiyero has in the book is a very nice thought.
true true...i really like the book i didn't mean i hated the book, i just wish there was another one that was more like the musical...i just like who the roles of fiyero and boq turn out to be, and i thought it was a clever twist. The book is geniously written,a nd hott.
Read the book. Reaction: Meh.
Saw the musical. Reaction: Wow.
Read the book again. Reaction: OH! I get it NOW!
heh.
I started the book. Never had time to finish it. I want to though. It's not at school with me though.

I kinda liked the book...it's very different from the musical. They're both good in their own ways - kinda hard to compare them. The ending of the book was what I thought the ending of the musical was going to be...if you know what I mean. And was very surprised by the musical, but happily surprised (I like the character twists in the musical better too).
I am still somewhat confused by the book. I mean, there is just so much going on and so much I still cannot figure out, Yackle, for instance.
I like how the musical pulls aspects from Baum's books (sawhorse, Flatheads, L. Frank Baum's initials), the MGM musical (ruby slippers, Elphaba's green skin, the witch's broom instead of umbrella), and obviously from the novel(too many examples to name). For me the musical ties them all together.
