I read that the divine Wanda Houston is going to be in the upcoming Roundabout revival of "A Streetcar Named Desire". Does anybody know what role she will be playing? I'm just so happy that this woman is going to be back on stage!

Nobody knows? This can also act as a thread for worshipping Ms. Houston. I'm currently listing to her beautiful interpretation of William Finn's "That's Enough For Me", and she is going to make me cry, like she always does.

I don't know much about Ms. Houston other than the Infinite Joy recording. She certainly sounds like a wonderful actress though.

According to Playbill.com, Wanda Houston will be playing the role of "Negro Woman"

Her theatre credits include Jewel in BEST LITTLE WHOREHOUSE IN TEXAS, SISTERELLA, A...MY NAME IS ALICE, CAROUSEL, HAIR, BEACH BLANKET BABYLON (Las Vegas) and MENOPAUSE THE MUSICAL. She has worked with Sam Harris, Celine Dion, Patti Austin, Debbie Allen, Joe Cocker and Barbra Streisand.
