Wednesday shows

Why don't some shows such, such as Ave Q, have Wednesday performance?

I would assume since it is one of the only shows that does a Monday performance, and a lot of others do a Wednesday matinee. I could be wrong though. That's just my guess.

Most Broadway productions operate on an 'eight shows a week' schedule.

Some producers may find it more profitable to perform on nights where other shows are dark (Mondays) and take off other matinees/evenings when most shows perform.

Disney shows, for example, tend to schedule more performances on the weekends (they recognize their target audience is likely to have weekends off.)
