So I recently saw the My Fair Lady tour and in the program it states:

"Lisa O'Hare is appearing with the permission of Actors' Equity Association pursuant to an exchange program between American and UK Equity."

Both My Fair Lady and Gone with the Wind are Nunn shows. Was Jill Paice part of this agreement?

I doubt it, since Jill Paice (I believe) started her career in the UK (TWiW).

Yes, she's US Equity. This feels like a trade to me. If not Paice, who would they have traded O'Hare for?

Really? Well, she seems to do a lot in the UK. She might even be a member of both Equities. Is that possible?

I thought Lisa O'Hare was good but not great in the tour. As far as I'm concerned there were plenty of American actresses who could have done it better.

You may not remember but the first Broadway revival of MY FAIR Lady had a worldwide casting search and they ended up with Christine Andreas who is American.

I know Jill's first big show was the Woman in White which she started off in London and then when the Broadway production came around she did the role she did in London on Broadway.

I don't know if you can be a member of both equities or not. Keep in mind that the whole trade thing is for the benefit of the US equity. The English equity doesn't really care about the whole trade thing.

Keep in mind that it doesn't necessarily have to be for Paice. There are a good number of Americans in Gone With The Wind and the trades don't have to be one for one.

No, Jill Paice is NOT O'Hare's trade-off. In actuality (and to many surprised faces), Gavin Creel's stint in Mary Poppins on the West End was the trade-off.

There's an interview somewhere...I'll have to find it.

How to properly use its/it's: Its is the possessive. It's is the contraction for it is...

That makes sense. I originally thought that it was a Gavin Lee Gavin Creel trade off in terms of Poppins. But, as I recently found out. Gavin Lee is here on a work visa so he isn't part of any trade off.
