It's been several months since I bought a cast recording or theater-related CD (!!) and the time has come. I'm planning to pick up Legally Blonde, and I'm also way overdue on Title of Show. Any other newish suggestions for a musical theater lover?

um, THE PIRATE QUEEN, the new GREY GARDENS cd (the Broadway version), 110 in the SHADE revival cd, of course LEGALLY BLONDE, and sorry to say this but I've been listening to it, but HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2
thats what I've been listening to a lot lately.
Right now, at the moment, I'm alternating between CURTAINS, Leading Men Don't Dance, FRANKENSTEIN (Original Csst Recording), and I relive early-2000's when I pop-in THE PRODUCERS (OBC), too.
Recent CDs I've been listening to:
Grey Gardens OBCR
The Light in the Piazza OBCR
The Wild Party (LaChiusa) OBCR

Grey Gardens Broadway Recording (I'm slowly growing to love Erin Davie as Little Edie)
Legally Blonde
A Chorus Line (original and revival)
For me, it's The Pirate Queen...I'm currently obsessed with it.
Sweeney Todd OBCR, Les Miserables OBCR, and Grey Gardens OOBCR. These have been work out music for the past two weeks.
"Taboo" and "The Light in the Piazza" are in heavy roatation in my disc players.
Lately I've been listening almost obsessively to two new cds from a British opera singer who was part of Baz Luhrman's LA BOHEME -- Alfie Boe -- absolutely fantastic voice. I've also been listening to THE PIRATE QUEEN, and a cd from another Broadway performer, Adam Brazier, who played Walter in THE WOMAN IN WHITE. Another fantastic voice.
Lately I've been listening to the Pirate Queen and Georgia Stitt's This Ordinary Thursday.
I've been listening to ACE for the past few days. I love "Call Me Ace" and "Choose to Fly".
Definetly pick up [title of show]! It's very easy to listen to and so much fun as well! Currently one of my favorites to listen to.

Right now it's been a revival of HAIRSPRAY and THE WEDDING SINGER, a continuous listening (since my discovery of it) of PARADE, and a new discovery, THE WILD PARTY (Lippa).

I haven't listened to anything BUT Seussical for the past couple of weeks because I'm playing Horton in a community theater show. It has so great quirky music. Really beautiful harmonies I think (especially Notice Me Horton. Hard as hell, but awesome).
