Hey everyone! We're doing research papers in class and this one girl (REALLY annoying) choose 'what elements make a classic movie and the affect that it has on society and the movie industry'. I really wish I hadn't choosen 'the neccessity of stem cell research', but I was wondering. What elements make a classic show, musical or play? Thanks!
A love ballad.

It's time that makes any work of art "classic"
Anything that still has its appeal after many years. Basically, something that has a universal message that can speak to people of all ages in any time period.
Something that's been open (i.e., out of previews) for at least a month. Or maybe it's three weeks. Depends on how many performers under 27 it has.

A show is a classic if it is timeless, one of the best ever, and is well-loved.
