I heard that Caligula was headed out to San Francisco, but this article doesn't mention it. Does anyone know the 411?

I've heard from a Caligula staff person of this to be true. Lets hope it gets around.

I'm really wanting this show to do more. The music was brilliant.

Euan announced at each of his concerts that Caligula would be going to SF in the Spring (April, maybe?) and hinted that he and Denise Summerford would be going along with it. Whether or not this ends up happening...who knows. But I'm crossing my fingers :)

By the way, anyone get their pre-orderd CDs yet? It's been quite a bit longer then expected...

Pre-ordered cd??? Is this on the Caligula site? Where do I go to do so?

I ordered mine back in October at the theatre and they sold a few at one of the Zipper gigs. It was supposed to be added to the website but I don't see it there yet. It's four songs, including 'Hold You' sung by Euan and three others...I think those on the Caligula website. Maybe different recordings of those songs though. I'm not really sure. I knew I should have gotten one at the concert! But they sold out pretty quickly.

Damn, how did I miss that? (Alright, so I have a pretty good idea, but damn-damn!)
Well, hopefully they will add it to the website.

Caligula. Wow, I did the actual play about a year ago, and our entire cast is amazed/curious that it was made into a musical. I can't wait for a recording. Bring back Euan!

No one I know has received the CD that we ordered during the Caligula run. We've been in e-mail contact with someone and they said something about having trouble with the company that did the inserts for the CD's. He said we should have them soon. Hopefully, we will. In my opinion, the CD's that were pre-ordered should have been mailed out before they were sold at Euan's shows at the Zipper.

Good to know I'm not the only one who hasn't gotten it yet - thanks. Maybe it'll show up in our mailboxes as a nice little holiday gift *crosses fingers*

I can speak for the production. There was a printing problem with the CDs and the copies sold at Euan's Zipper shows were hastily prepared last-minute while the real ones were still in transit (and were not even sold for the whole week, since we ran out of those). I believe the issue has been resolved and the orders are being filled. Sorry if e-mail hasn't been answered in a timely fashion - we're still a very small operation and are not yet able to make this a full-time job for everyone. Hopefully soon...

To that end, details on the San Francisco run will be announced when they are settled. There are a lot of things still to be worked out, but it all looks very promising. At this point, we hope to begin performances in May, but as with all new shows, delays and roadblocks are always a possibility.

In the meantime, though, we hope to get a concept CD of the full score with Euan and Gilles recorded and released early next year. Again, details will be announced when they are known.

Hope that answers a few questions. Again, sorry to those who have had problems with the CD - we've all been a bit overwhelmed by the interest in the show and we're trying to keep up. But it's a very good kind of overwhelmed to be.

AWW! I'm sorry! Maybe it'll show up Monday or Tuesday. At least we now know they're out. If you don't get it by the end of the week, I would definitely e-mail them. BTW, the cover is lovely!

Thanks for the info =)
