What's your opinion. My group chose Children Of Eden over it which I think it is the better choice for our age and its a great score. But seriously what do you think about Company>?

I don't see anything wrong with a junior-senior production of Company IF they had a strong program.

I don't think Company is really right for a younger production...the characters are all much too old and often talk about middle-aged problems...it would just be silly.

I am not sure that it will be a big "hit", if you do it. I don't think the problem is having the students play older characters. I am just not sure high school students will get Company, as much as they need to in order to make it a successful production.

Children of Eden is a much better choice!!

I think NYSinger1 hit it right on the head. The issues at the center of Company are unlikely to really resonate with teens, even if they are amazingly talented and mature.

I agree with the above. No matter how talented you guys are, it's really one of the few classic musicals out there that absolutely has be to done by adults...

I'm a bit younger than those age ranges, and our group is doing Company, ages going up to 18. I fully get the message, but I understand if some of you think it may be somewhat difficult to get. I'm not going to argue, and I don't know much about Children of Eden, but I think Company is a beautiful show, dealing with outstanding messages that leave you thinking, which is how I come out of every rehearsal. I'm so sorry for my little vent, soemtimes it's hard to be one of the younger ones on this board :) Good luck on the show fiyero!

I'm in the age range and I still wouldn't want to do COMPANY, just because I like Children of Edens...Big ensemble Songs...plus more people would come see this. Its also a show that lets a large group of kids get together and do a GREAT show. If you did Company you would only be using only a few students and sometimes in High Schools thats not cool.
