I know she is a cabaret personality, and a nice person, but why is she EVERYWHERE and why is her picture featured in arrivals for shows next to famous actors and persons of note? Is Jamie Deroy some sort of cultural powerhouse/icon and I missed it?
My guess is she has a buttload of money. Am I right?

Yes, she is comfortably well-off. ["A buttload of money." My, how vivid.]
She, like all good entertainers, is a good self-promoter and also has begun to co-produce. Look in the list of producers of shows (I think Thurgood is one). Her name is cropping up more and more.

She is a Producer of many Broadway and Off Broadway shows.
She also has her own TV SHOW and votes for the OCC and DD Awards.
She also happens to be a very nice person.
PS She is a theater personality and a theater icon.
