Hi! How exciting, my first post! I'm planning to see a matinee of Wicked one of these days, and I'm mainly going to see one of my favorite "Golden Girls" Rue McClanahan! I'm really going just for her performance.
I just want to know, does Rue M do matinees and how much time does she spend on stage? Thanks :)

Do people ever think before they post such ridiculous questions?
Better yet, if she didn't do matinees I'm sure there would have been a thread about it.
Try the search function.

Do people ever think before they post such rude answers?
It's the person's first post, give them a break. It wasn't a bad question, they wanted to know how long she remained on stage. There is no need to be a dick about it to make yourself look cool.

Posted: 7/26/05 at 3:36pmwho cares if her first post is about wicked? how does that qualify for a sarcastic remark like "great start?" She was curious!!!

Suck it up people, these are the jokes.
And Judas, no need to call me a dick.

What I don't get is why people who make nasty comments about Wicked posts open the Wicked posts to start with...
Why wouldn't you just ignore them?
I ignore the countless Piazza posts. It's not that difficult.

Because there are over 5,000 posts...
"Wicked this weekend"
"Wicked Last Night"
"Wicked in Chicago"
"Who's the next Elphaba?"
"How Can I get Idina to touch me?"
What is the deal?
And then we have newbies joining who do NOTHING but make up posts about Wicked.
Don't they have their own web site?
Again, I have nothing against the show, just the mindless posts.

So ignore them! This post has the word "Wicked" right in the subject line!
OH well, to each their own, I guess.

Sweetie,
There is a thread called ANYTHING BUT WICKED, which asked for people to post their favorite shows except for Wicked.
What happens?
The Wicked folk come in a pitch a fit. If they can't/won't do that on the ONE thread that asks for it, why should I not go into the posts that I want and post how I feel?
It's a double edged sword... it cuts both ways.
When you've been here longer than 6 months, then you may learn how this board works.

Sweetie?
Wow.
Apparently, I don't need to be here longer than a month to know how this board works.

And apparently you also don't have to be here longer than a month to make rash and general judgements about the entire board.

Sorry, mythus. That wasn't aimed at the entire board.
I apologize for the bitchiness. I was just fuming at the "sweetie" comment and didn't think that through.
Anyway, I'm not here to start any ridiculous message board feuds. So, anyway...who here loves Idina? ha ha....

Wow, didn't mean to start anything here....just a simple question. Thanks to those who answered it for me. I didn't realize how some people can get so outta control :)
Don't worry, I didn't take it personally. I guess we all need a laugh every now and then

TheatreDiva, does someone force you to open & read them? If there are threads about Wicked, don't read them.
You are entitled to your opinion, and if you don't like Wicked or are sick of hearing about it, then fine. But remember that everyone else are also entitled to their opinions and they should be able and allowed to write it here just as you. If you don't agree with them, just ignore the post. It's nicer that way than reading your sarcastic and sometimes rude posts.

If the post wasn't so obviously rude and not just DYING to annoy the wicked fans then I wouldn't have said anything.
If the topic is DRS, or what was the first show you ever saw, or what was your favorite Tony winner from the 1990s or Avenue Q, or Sweet Charity, etc etc NONE of us would be talking about Wicked, and if someone does..it's a free country.
