A WICKED show? At Universal Studios?
You know...a sit-down production in Orlando at CityWalk might be a cool innovative thing. The complete production and a seperate charge from their theme parks. It'd be a great addition to their city life there.

It's for Universal Tokyo only, not Universal Studios in the US.
I gather it's going to be shortened to pretty much juts the first act only, mostly just the songs--in Japanese!--and mostly just the story of the two girls.
If it's successful, it could lead to a full-scale Japanese production.

That would be kinda crazy to see Wicked being sung in Japanese.

Posted: 5/16/06 at 10:37pmI am pretty sure that they are singing the songs in English, they had auditions in LA and the casting notice said nothing about being able to speak Japanese. So here's me assuming that the the scaled down version will be in English

Posted: 5/16/06 at 10:46pmIt's not affiliated with the Broadway production. Marc Platt and David Stone sold them the rights to do a shortened version. It's not a full scale production, it's different from the broadway one.
