This is a really noobish question, and probably ridiculous...

But, since I don't know of "Wonderful Town" at all...does the main character (Ruth I assume) have relatively low notes at all? I mean like around G3 under middle C..

What about Donna's character in "Love Musik"?

It's just, I LOVE hearing Donna Murphy sing lower note, and it would stupidly increase the prospects of me buying those cast albums just because of this.

one of my all time favorite Seth Rudetsky videos is when he deconstructs "lady low notes." during "Ohio" in Wonderful Town, Rosalind Russell sings a low C (I think it's a C3, but I'm not positive). I know Donna Murphy doesn't sing that same low C, but the video makes me giggle.

so basically I was no help.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad
