Woopie Goldberg Show or some other good show

I do not live in New York.
I want to make a present for a friend of mine that leaves in New York and get couple of tickets for him for a comedy show in New York. Would be great if it is a Woopie Goldberg Show or some other good comedy show

Can somebody suggest a good comedy show and a way to get tickets at reasonable price. I do know that you can go somewhere to 42 street, stay in line and get some discount tickets. But is it possible to get same result without physically going and staying in line, just via Internet?

I don't think Whoopi is in anything right now (I wish she was!) - But you sure can get tickets to something else.
Anything else besides Whoopi grab ya, And, Do you desire a Musical or a Play?

"Barefoot in the Park" just opened and I don't think tickets for that would set you back too much. It has an incredible cast including Patrick Wilson, Jill Clayburgh and Tony Roberts. You might check here and see about ticket prices. It is a play (A Revival) and it is very funny and quite enjoyable. I hope this helps you.
