I just wanted to pop in and say that I saw this show today and really enjoyed it. The cast was great and it was thouroughly entertaining. Since the show has not opened yet, I won't say too many specifics about it, but it was really great. Euan was so likable as is the rest of the cast. I would highly recommend it.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm planning on going sometime soon. Was it sold out? I was thinking of trying to get quick tix at some point.

I've seen it and thoroughly enjoyed it. Michael Stuhlbarg really showed his versatility to me. I liked him a lot in Pillowman, and I didn't even recognize him at first when the play started.

I enjoyed it immensely. It's an interesting take on the Victorian sex farce, with great central performances from Euan Morton and the truly incomparable Michael Stuhlbarg. The script is funny and full of double entendres, but it loses some steam in the second act.

The folks over on ATC seem to be praising it quite a bit.

ETA: BroadwayGirl107, the show has been on TDF regularly, so I'd assume you should have no trouble getting rush seats.

Saw it, loved it, see it. Great cast. Excellently directed. Superbly written. See it.

Just my opinion, I may wrong.

Saw the first preview last week. For the most part I enjoyed it, though I thought it dragged a bit at times. I hated Euan's wig. There are some pics up on his site:

Anyone going to the talkback tonight?

I was also at the 1st preview
Agree, as usual, with everything
bwaygirl has to say !

Wish there was a picture of Euan's other costume

Micheal Stuhlbarg was hysterical

bdwaygirl are you doing any of the talkbacks??

I saw it last Friday. Overall, I enjoyed it, although I think it could stand to be cut a little here and there. It was well-cast, and I particularly loved Susan Blommaert. All she had to do was say the reverend's name to get me laughing.

Is this a more "adult" show?

Yes. Definitely. Fallic objects abound on stage in the final act. Although I'm not sure why they were warning of nudity, because if there was any, I missed it.

eta: Ha. They have myspace pages set up for the various characters. Here's Peter Lustforth's:

I'd really like to see Euan Morton in this, but I'm only 15 so I don't think my mom would let me see it.

re: anyone else see Measure for Pleasure?

I have heard nothing but great things about M4P!!
A couple of my "bear" friends went in a big group and called me directly after all laughing so loud I could barely understand them.

That can't be a bad sign, right?

I saw it over the weekend and loved it. If you get a chance, definitely go. The acting is just great and it had me laughing so hard.

I saw this in one of the first previews, and the cast is excellent. Michael Stuhlbarg is especially amazing and worth seeing. I liked the show and would recommend it, but I also don't run screaming from bawdy, and sometimes tasteless, sex humor :)

"I thought that that was just going to be a like one shot deal for me, you know, but they kept talking about it like, 'when we do the production, when we do the production', and I was like, 'yes, yes, when you do the production, cool, I will come and see it'". - John Gallagher Jr. on SA

Saw it yesterday, the 2 pm show. The 8 pm show was the last show. Glad we saw it before it closed! Michael Stuhlbarg was amazing. Euan was also very good, but I didn't even recognize Michael at firts. Did he (Mr. Pillowsoft) lose weight since Pillowman?

Great fun show!

Michael is usually very very skinny. He gained a lot of weight for THE PILLOWMAN.

I didn't recognize him initially, either, because of the weight loss. I thought he was one of the porters because of the way he made his entrance. It took a while for the light bulb to come on.

I saw Measure for Pleasure last week. I didn't even realize it was closing so soon. I'm glad I got to see it. What a delicious show! Michael Stuhlbarg is simply adorable and brilliant. What a great cast! A really fun night at the theater. Come back to Broadway, Mike, and win that Tony you deserved last season! We love you. re: anyone else see Measure for Pleasure?
