i saw the producers on sunday and they were colleting for bcefa which i'm fine with and usually give about 5 bucks. but while waiting at the stagedoor a cast memeber came out and said u can get a signed playbill from both matt and nathan for 20. while both of them walked out behind the guy selling the playbill. matt signed a few autograpgh ( with out pay) but nathan got in his car and left. i think this a little too much.

Eric Idle is that you? Don't worry Eric a little friendly competition on Broadway is normal!

Johny, what we always did and what many theatres do is have the actors pre-sign the playbills. Then we keep them around for anyone who wants to pay the $20. Is that what you meant? You thought they would be signing them on the spot? I don't know if I understood your post or not.

I think he's upset becasue you could only get there autographs if you pay thr $20 and that they wouldn't sign the play bill or anything that people had when standing by the stage door.

Well, look at it this way-the purpose is to raise money for BC/EFA. Who would pay the $20 for a signed playbill, if the actors are signing them for free?

Why?

1.) It is for charity.

2.) Nathan may not feel like signing after a long exhaustive
performance.

3.) Some people feel their time is worth more than $20 for what can become a very long wait.

4.) It is for charity. Worth repeating.

Rest in peace, Iflitifloat.

Nathan has not been signing at the stage door, but when this fund raiser is not going on, signed Playbills have been passed out to those waiting. Matthew always graciously signs. I guess some people were lucky that he still signed at this BCEFA fund raiser time.

It's for charity folks!! But, i do think that 20 bucks is a bit much for 2 autographs.

i was upset because i don't think the stagedoor is a place to collect for charity. don't get me wrong i know it's for a good cause. but people have been waiting at the stage door for years and most of them are young people who don't have alot of money, and now have to shell out $$ for a autograph. (that's $120). and on the other hand, nathan was never signed playbills,(the 3 times i've been there) the stagedoor guy usally hands them out and everyone just wants for matt.
