How many musicals can you name that belong in a series? just how many musical sequals and prequals are out there?

Example: Wicked is the Prequal to The Wizard of OZ. therefore, they are a musical series.

how many other series are there?

Don't you think they should have more in common than loosely based once removed source material?

Etoile-

I agree based on his original post. Wicked and Oz are "related" but not sequels

rocky horror/shock treatment
grease/grease 2 (I need a cool rider!)
^those are film though

There was also an Annie 2 I discovered, not Annie Warbucks- just plain ole Annie 2 having to deal with a revenge of Miss Hannigan. It flopped miserably, but did star members of the original cast of Annie, including Dorothy Loudon.

i need to see the falsettos. and i know that wicked and wizard aren't exactly sequals, but i think the basic idea is two or more musicals that develope the same plot line. and ew, and annie two? annie one was bad enough.
