just got back from my second time seeing it. the whole cast was in except jeremy kushnier, and it was the same cast as in bryant park today. the show is in great shape except for Mel B., who, fortunately, is leaving on saturday. she ruined it. The standout in the cast was Kelly Karbaz as Maureen. it was listed as her broadway debut, but you would never know it. she was a pro. a friend of mine who had seen the show 3 times prior to this said that she was the best Maureen she's ever seen. Kelly almost hugged and kissed her. the cast was so nice at the stage door, autographs for everyone.
Cool.
Was Drew there? (He was at Bryant Park, right?)
Duh!!!!! lol
I'm disappointed so many people disliked Melanie Brown as Mimi. I thought her portrayal was very unique, and very poignant, I went in thinking, "Please let her be out sick or something tonight. I want to see Dominique Roy" and came out thinking "Wow. She was very good." She's definitely not the best Mimi, but I really liked her in the role.

Drew doesn't start till Sept. 10. Mel B wasn't all bad. I gotta give her propz for making the role her own....it certainly wasn't Daphne's way.
Mel B. SUCKED!! She had no voice and made me focus on her bad singing and not on her character. I'm very happy she is leaving the show.

YankeeFan - how did you like Destan Owens as Collins, Justin Johnston as Angel, and Colin Hanlon as Roger?

They were all great - this cast almost rivaled the OBC....almost.
Is Andy Senor still playing Angel? The last time I saw him...he seemed like he was entirely bored play the part. Who could get bored of wearing those outfits and playing the ten-gallon pickle tub?

i'm glad that you had a great time. too bad about mel. b though.
I thought that about Andy too, and for that reason they need to get a new Angel. Now.

They do have a new Angel. He started right when Jai left I believe. Justin Johnston. He was Steve. Now Enrico Rodriguez plays Steve.
