First of all, did anyone else go to this in Dallas?
Anyways It was very good overall, I havent seen/heard any of it before, so I waspleasently surprised. One thing though-- those little kids really get on my nerves!!! all they do is overpower the professional singers with their off-key yelling, run down the aisles screaming, and dance around in circles on stage. I cant believe they get paid for that. O well. Anyways... Im not the familiar with the names of the cast members but everyone performed very well today. The guys who played the brothers were very funny and all have gorgeous voices. I went to the stagedoor afterwards nd got loads of signitures
Everyone was soooo nice except some of the ensemble women were kinda bitchy to little kids! I dont really care if they dont give me a signiture but you dont have to shove little kids out of the way to get to your car!
anyways Im very glad I went to see it despite the mixed reviews I have heard
I saw this last Tuesday. Wasn't all that thrilled, honestly. After all the hype I've heard about it, being Jewish, I was interested in how the show would turn out. I really didn't know much about this show besides it being the biblical story of Joseph. I was expecting something that would really grab me and stand proud for my faith, but as soon as the Elvis Pharoah did his number, I knew that to assume only makes an ass out of u and me.
John Secada doesn't have much of a stage presence... at least not for this role. I watched the DVD with Donny Osmond a few days after and was more impressed with him, though I prefer John's vocals.
yea a lot of it was corny but i could tell that there was talent. Im curious what some of these people will do after the tour-- they all have a lot of potential, but their current roles dont leave a lot of space to show off their talent
I wasnt much of a fan of the elvis pharoh.. that was a little much...

Just a little history of the show. It was one of the first things Andrew Lloyd Weber wrote. It was written as a short musical for children. That's why the show is soooo corny. It is meant to poke fun at things like Pharoah (the King) and such.
The children do not get paid. Each city has a new cast of local children to fill the children's choir.
oh i knew that each city has a new group of kids, but someone told me they got paid. whatever. that makes me feel better now
