the new broadway tour season...

so i'm getting all these mailing from theaters that have broadway national tour shows coming... and i'm extremely disappointed... they are all the same old same old shows... i can only take so much of an ANNIE tour, EVITA, and on and on... i'm very disappointed... not much going on this year with national tours... sigh... and hrmph

Agreed! But I am excited for Hairspray to come back to Chicago! And also to see how our permenant Wicked shapes up!

Well there are a few new things this season:
Little Women
Wicked
Bombay Dreams
Dame Edna
Whoopi Goldberg

in addition to the Joseph, Evita, Oklahoma, Annie, chicago, Rent, Movin' Out, Producers, Mamma Mia's that have been touring ad nauseum.

In Chicago, Im excited to see the Wicked resident production get going, plus Hairspray, Woman in White, and Little Women.

I'm not seeing Cats OR the Joseph tour with whatshername from American Idol.

in philly our only highlights seem to be hairspray(june) wicked and the lion king (both are march or april i believe)

Amy Adams from AI Season 3 is playing the Narrator in Joseph.

Boston still hasn't announced their season yet I looked at the listings from the past two years, and it seems every big Equity tour has hit us (except the new shows).
