i am and have been COMPLETELY in love with the broadway production of phantom....i really dont want to see the movie cuz it looks so differnt! i also dont think that the phantom can be nearly as good as hugh panaro...actually i dont think any of the actors could be as good as the ones in the broadway production...has anyone seen the play on broadway and the movie? wut did u think of it?

1.) there are MANY MANY threads already on this.

2.) A lot of people will tell you both the musical and movies sucked, others will tell you that the musical was amazing and the movie blew hard, and others (like me) will say that they loved both.

i really liked the movie... there was one major issue though for me.. the phantom cant sing. minor detail :) i still enjoyed the movie.

I haven't seen the show on Broadway, but was privileged to have seen the tour a few years ago. While some of the staging was amazing other parts did not blow me away. I saw the movie and loved it. I love both. Movies are bound to be different from the actual stage production and you either take it or leave it. So you either like it or you don't, but I say go see the movie and see what you think.

I thought the movie was beautiful! The Phantom didn't really bother me. I was blown away by Emmy Rossum!

Well, I hated the show when I first saw it.

I am planning on seeing the movie (student discount 5 bux). If I like it, maybe I will consider seeing the show again....

I think the Broadway show is one of the greatest ever done. I think the film is an enthralling masterpiece. Do not miss it. It is simply breathtaking.
