Here is what I predict to be the total wins per show, with much love spread around this year, not just one major hit:

PIPPIN: 6 (Revival, Actress, F. Actor, F. Actress, Sound, Director)

MATILDA: 5 (Book, Set, Lighting, Choreography, Orchestration)

KINKY BOOTS: 3 (Musical, Score, Actor)

THE NANCE: 3 (Set, Sound, Costumes)

VIRGINIA WOOLF: 2 (Revival, Director)

VANYA AND SONIA: 1 (Play)

LUCKY GUY: 1 (Actor)

TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL: 1 (Actress)

THE BIG KNIFE: 1 (Featured Actor)

ASSEMBLED PARTIES: 1 (Featured Actress)

CINDERELLA: 1 (Costumes)

GOLDEN BOY: 1 (Lighting)

A few of these I REALLY HOPE I'm wrong about (like leading actress, and director of a play). But I think it's going to look a lot like this.

It is interesting that it seems THE NANCE is set to be the biggest winner among the plays, because of the design categories (this happened with STARCATCHER to a degree).

I actually think KINKY BOOTS might take it. It doesn't deserve it obviously but idk, the love for it seems to be coming from left field. Nah.. nevermind MATILDA still has it.

So you started a new thread to say your TONY predictions? Creative.

I do think Cinderella will take Orchestrations, Costumes and Actress. Actress will be theirs to make it "ok" that they got shut out of everything else major.

I think Pippin might take Choreography, too.

There's not much talk on here about A Christmas Story. It's got to be hurt by the limited exposure of a seasonal run. I didn't get a chance to see it last year but I've listened to the cast recording quite a bit now. I really like it. Is it as good as Matilda or Kinky Boots? Most would probably say no. I think parts of it are wonderful. Hope it makes it back to Broadway. I'm going to try hard to see it this time around.
