Fame is a miserable excuse for a show.

Did she ask for a constructive essay? No. She asked for a general opinion. I gave one. Bugger off re: re: re: what do ya'll think about...

Don't take that from him or her or IT, JoeyJoe! - why does no one on this site have a sense of humor?

"I don't really get the ending, all i can go with is when after several months,Judith saw Pat sang, and later she kissed him on the toilet, after that the story back to where Pat went down from the stage after he'd sung, and he went to the italian lady.I just don't get it,what Judith exatcly meant when he kissed Pat that she had seen, and did Pat end up together with The Italian Lady? Please help me,thank u very much!" Quote from someone on IMDB in reference to a movie he/she didn't understand. Such grammar!

I think thats why so many of us resort to blatant sarcasm. We are trying to get a laugh when people argue over things that are usually very stupid and pointless to argue over. I would name one but I fear it will resurface on the board and I don't want that. That is part of the fun on the board, everyone trying to one up each other with the jokes. Fame (West End) was the first profesional show I ever saw and it was an amazing performance. True, the book wasn't terribly great but the actors put so much into it I really didn't notice. Those were some gifted actor's I would have to say, I wasn't too fond of the way the extras were staged, they seemed really fake to me, but the leads were very very good. I have seen Fame 3 other times now, and each time I saw it it was horrible. Godspell is a fun show, actually if things go as planned we will be doing it at our church next year which will be really awesome because a lot of the students at my church love theatre and want a chance to get back up on stage. My thoughts....Well Fame in NYC is horrible but other productions might be decent. I really don't enjoy Godspell much. Its way to hippie acid trip for me.

I love Godspell- it's genius.

I memorized all the words to that show right after I got the cast recording. Stephen Schwartz is a genius.

Godspell is either really good or the worst imaginable night of theater. It requires a smart cast and a good director, neither of which tend to be involved with the show, especially on smaller levels. There's nothing worse than watching 'Godspell' and seeing two hours of a cast laughing at themselves while the audience is bored to tears.

Best version of Godspell ever was the Day by Day in Wet Hot American Summer.

"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

Music in Godspell is good, show can get boring if you don't know much about the parables, but I do, so I like it. I hate FAME. Can't say it enough. I saw the tour when Jennifer Gambetese was in it, I didn't even know who she was then lol. I thought it was alright, but I hated the song Can't Keep It Down. But then, when I was in the show, I realized just how terrible it was. The only reason it had been alright when I saw it was becuase the cast was awesome. The book is TERRIBLE, but some of the songs are alright like your screen name (lol) and Play A Love Scene and the one in the last scene whatever it is called..... those are okay......

I hate Fame - Yuck. and Godspell is just boring in comparison with Jesus Christ Superstar - I just don't like it when people sugarcoat things to make them more commercial - which is what I think Godspell does to the story, which is told so much better in Superstar.
