ok i know that many of you didn't like Little Women but I recently bought the OBR and i LOVE IT ! I think that a good old-fashioned musical was just what broadway needed. In my opinion, the musical is amazing and beautifully writtten. I never got a chance to see the show though, so i can't say to much.
but ANYWAYS
someone please tell me WHY a pretty good musical (in my opinion) had to close when BROOKLYN keeps on running?!
I think Brooklyn is ok but come on...you all have to admit that LW was a better show.

Crappy marketing department. Very bad word of mouth. Not so great reviews. etc, etc, etc.
Brooklyn was able to stay longer because it had a better marketing team.
Thats my $0.05.

First thing I thought when I saw the subject line was my favorite song from Miss Saigon.
I mentioned this before but although I mostly enjoyed LW on stage I was disappointed in the OBCR...definitely thought the stage presence of the actors outshined the material.
In this case, is the "O" 'original' or 'only'?

You are allowed to think (and write) whatever you want about a musical, but if you only just bought the OBCR and haven't seen the show how do you know that it "is amazing and beautifully writtten"?

Have you seen either?

Can I just say I don't support any show closing before its time? I have absolutely no interest in seeing Spamalot but I'm glad it has an audience and is succeeding. Having said that, why can't people bemoan LW closing without wishing ill-will on another show like Brooklyn?

I thought that this was going to be about Miss Saigon too. I'm a little disappointed.
I don't know why Little Women is closing before Brooklyn. Little Women is better in my opinion.
