I called my venue this morning. They WON"T give any refunds until the official word from the promoter. Janet is vague in her message. She doesn't say she is cancelling the tour only postponing it. I am happy for her if she can have a baby at 50, but we are talking almost a year from now if she is only postponing. My original show was suppose to be in March, then August. I'm not waiting too long for my money. They have $138 that belong to me.
I agree that this likely had a lot to do with how the tour was selling. My date had been close to sold out prior to the first postponement, but a ton of tickets ended up being returned after it had been moved to the summer. I really don't see it ever being rescheduled at this point and will also be getting my money back as soon as I can. A date was recently announced in my town for Dolly's new tour, and I'll be happy to put it towards that instead.

Splash out on Dolly if you want, but she lip-syncs as much as Janet!

Jay, Are you sure about Dolly? I saw her in concert a few years ago. Seats were fairly close. I'm pretty sure she was singing live. On another note. We have spoken about Britney and her lip syncing in the past. I was talking with a guy yesterday who recently saw Britney in Vegas. He felt something was "off" about her. He says he tricked with someone on her production team and he confirmed that when Britney doesn't feel like performing, she uses a body double. He stated the guy said it was "Vegas common knowledge". I found this very hard to believe. Have you or anyone else heard about this? I just don't believe it.

Well, I do love a good drag show!
Jay, Are you sure about Dolly?
Well, I'm pretty sure. When I saw her live, it was just too perfect. Then when she appeared at the Glastonbury festival in England a couple of years ago and was criticized for lip-syncing (albeit expertly), it made sense. I think she denied it at the time, though. I still love her, of course.
Judge for yourself!
I'm over her. Her promoter better hop to it and make an announcement. I want my money back.
On Dec. 24, she announced that she was postponing her tour until the spring to have an unspecified surgical procedure.
Two weeks later, she announces the rescheduled tour dates after she took some time to recover from the surgical procedure.
The tour was supposed to resume May 14 in Las Vegas and now she's postponing because she's starting a family?!?!?
She needs to call her promoter and cancel the damn tour altogether so that people can get their hard earned money back.
At this point I don't give a hot wet monkey's ass if she's going to have 10 kids. Stay in Dubai girl or wherever it is you're living now. Just give me my money back.
And like Rhianna says: "B!tch betta have my money!"
I mean, it's painfully obvious in this clip.

Wish she would have just called the tour when she started postponing dates.
The writing has been on the wall for months. The tour wasn't selling.
Cancel the dates and give people their money back.
Dolly Lip-synced during her Hollywood Bowl concert as well and was called out on it by the LA times. I will say this.. I saw Janet Jacksons current tour when it stopped at the Forum. She was NOT lip-syncing. In the heavy dance songs her back up singers drowned her out. But she was singing.

I just read that Ticketmaster is not issuing refunds until it officially cancels. If she just postpones, no refunds. The article states that Ticketmaster sent out an email, but I bought my ticket directly from the venue.

I can't believe they haven't officially cancelled yet. They can't seriously be planning on going back out on the road.
Give people back their money.

Didn't they offer refunds for the first round of postponements?

They did. The difference was the rescheduled dates were announced in somewhat timely manner. It may appear that the new (if there are new) dates won't be announced to possibly next year. I should have been clearer in my previous statement. I assume no refunds from postponed dates until they are officially announced, which could be months and months from now. I did not receive the Ticketmaster email so I am gathering info based on third party articles.

Happy to see TMZ covering it and calling it like it is.

So after reading the comments made that some people got refunded by Ticketmaster, on the TMZ website, I contacted Ticketmaster this morning. The rep told me that as of this morning the tour has officially cancelled. However, I bought my tickets through the venue and they have not received official word as yet. So for now, no refund for me. But for those who bought their tickets on Ticketmaster website you can get a refund, according to the rep this morning.

Now they say the tour will restart in 2017. You can hold on to your tickets till then or get a refund. I say it's kaput. Monday, I'm going down to my venue and get a refund. If the tour does happen, and that's a big if, I'll buy a new ticket.
Okay, she's cancelling because of family planning and her doctor wants her to rest. At her age, the chance of her getting pregnant naturally is very very very slim. It's far more likely, if she is pregnant, that they used IVF with donor eggs. even without IVF, she would have likely needed medication. It would all have to be well planned. No matter what, it would be a high risk pregnancy due to advanced maternal age. Why would she do this with a major tour planned?

Congrats to her and her family.
